James Read co-founded MML Capital Partners in London in 1988. Prior to that, he has held numerous commercial and merchant banking positions in the United States and the United Kingdom. Most of his career has been spent as a leveraged cash flow lender and private equity provider. He is, or has been, a director or chairman of 12 portfolio companies including BPC, Caparo, CB Holdings, Wellington, Wellworth, Core Labs, JJI, IAC and XServ. James holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh.
